The only difference between the male and female Blue Jay is their size. The male is slightly larger than the female. Native to North America, these guys are one of our loudest birds. They are known for their loud call as well as their intelligence and adaptability. They make a variety of musical sounds and they frequently mimic the calls of hawks, especially the Red Shouldered Hawk.
