Thompson Pass is a 2805 foot high gap in the Chugach Mountains northeast of Valdez. This is the snowiest place in Alaska , recording 551.5 inches of snow per year on average. This was captured during our trip from Valdez in June, this was at midnight! I am looking Out at this mountain top with a bit of glacier ice visible under the snow, I?m standing off the road .
