Mixed Media: None | A couple or few years ago I set myself a painting problem to solve. I wanted a powerful mountain landscape that was equal volume sky and land but not to appear so. I also wanted it to be all pallet knife. And just to complicate things I wanted the painting to have a feeling of depth with blended colors and overstrikes to separate colors.

It took five or six months for me to resolve the problems I had set for myself to paint this one. It then took me about two years to find the right frame. At least I thought I had. It is framed by one I made, but, I just don't know. This is such a commanding painting that it needs a big room to reside in and a dynamic frame to contain it. What fun to solve a set of problems only to create a new set to work on.
