Cabbage butterflies and moths can wreak havoc in gardens. They are serious pests to cabbage and other mustard family crops. The difference between the butterflies and moths are their colors. The moths are grey, the butterflies are white with two black spots, females have yellow under wings.

Cabbage butterflies are tricky for gardeners to battle since they don't have many predators due to their ability to accumulate mustard oil in their bodies which makes them unpalatable to most predators.
