Fun with stencils

This was done a while ago while getting used to the airbrush. My friend/mentor suggested to start with stencils to see if I could get into it. They basicly eliminated the design process enabling me to concentrate on gaining experience with the technical side of airbrushing, for the small skulls I would simply rotate around the paper spraying the slightest layer of grey just to leave the impression then fill in how I saw fit. The price does not justify the product in my opinion and have since changed to using pencils with frisket film or hand made shields. Premade stencils do serve a great purpose in custom paintworks on cars etc, if you ever see flame or smoke effects painted they've likely used a premade shield along side free hand spraying.
