I used an 8" x 8" canvas block for this. In separate pots I mixed different acrylic colours with PVA glue, then poured a little from each colour into a separate pot and flipped this on to the canvas. I moved the canvas around to mingle the paints and form shapes, aiding this by blowing through a straw. Several interesting creatures seemed to pop out in this cave.
