Dandelions have a fascinating life cycle. There is a lot of folklore about dandelions. It has been said to be the only flower that represents the sun, the moon and the stars.

Once the yellow blossom (the sun) of a dandelion matures, the next stage is what is called a puff ball (the moon). It develops white fuzz that is attached to the seed which acts as a parachute (the stars) when carried away by the wind.

This dandelion puff ball is saturated with early morning dewdrops.
