This could be either a sharp-shinned or Coopers hawk sitting on a dead branch. This hawk is a adult predatory accipiter, probably male.

Mixed Media: None A sharp-shinned or Coopers hawk perched on a dead tree limb. He had been coming around for several weeks and I finally got a photo of him.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II at 1/160 second at f5.6 and an ISO set at 3200. The focal length was 300mm.
