I come from a life and a time before Chocolate eggs, both on the Continent and here. They are a luxury item. Our eggs, when we had any, were painted or coloured with a dye and presented on the table on Easter Morning. My tablecloth gives location of the table beneath the eggs. Now to count how many eggs are actually on the table!
