Takin, aka Gnu Goat

This is a Takin at the Minnesota Zoo that I saw last summer. Pronounced tah-kin. They are also called Gnu Goats and Cattle Chamois. There are four subspecies of takin, this one is the Sichuan subspecies. They are native to the Himalayan mountains so they are ruggedly built with hooves.
This one was very playful and gave me a cute pose.
