Valdez is located 340 miles north of my home, located on the Prince William Sound, I am so thankful that it was not raining when we were there because this is one of the rainiest locations in Alaska, it is also known for the most snowfall in the state! Valdez is nicknamed Little Switzerland, because it is completely surrounded by mountains.
