I researched dragons on internet. There is a huge variety but most countries have a 'Saint George and the Dragon" with a similar tale worldwide. A creature who kills all and finally St George rescues a princess and slays the dragon this is modelled loosely on a 15th century Georgian cloisonne enamel icon.
