The Night - Art Contest Entry

Acrylic on canvas board. Base wash blue, horizon taped first to allow suggestion of waterfront before the skyscrapers and city buildings, The raw board when tape removed allowed variations in the acrylic paint. I used only red, blue and yellow for the top paint. Underpaint was blue mixed with white. I allowed some underpaint to show in some areas. This is a thank you gift for my friend who admired an earlier painting of a similar subject.
