Nature Art Contest Contest Entry
This is for Australia. There are so many serious wild fires in these times, Americas, Spain, Portugal, Africa....to name a few countries...it's not just human cost but animals, insects...... all suffer. I read a large piece yesterday on the continuing ravage of Australia. There was a photograph of a Kokaburroo on a tree brabch and I used that as a start to an idea to paint a tribute to all suffering throigh wild fires. Thats nature, always has been, but this article blamed man, his farming methods to make money. Before 1788 the indigenous peoples had a way of sectioning off land to cope with natures fire cleanse every season, that enabled control. Primitive times then but they managed. It seems not possible now as those small parcels of land are joined making control impossible of the now vast areas.
