Birds Photos Contest Entry 
This is the first time I've seen the female Blackbird ~ Turdus merula, sampling the red Siberian Crabapples, her mate loves them. Her plumage as you see is not black but dark brown & she also lacks the bright yellow beak of the male so she does not stand out when sitting on the nest. Susan
