This island is not far from my coast of Newcastle and we went there often for picnics and even camped on the mainland. The island has a causeway and your access depends on the tide. I took many photographs in my youth and this was from a one on a camping morning. Many years ago but i remember its spectacular light on clouds that morning, it looked like angel wings over this holy place. This was my first 'proper' oil painting. It should have been on canvas but it has survived so far. A big learning curve but remains a favourite of mine.
