Trying To Stay Cool

This was captured during the summer in Homer up on the Hillside. It was about 70 degrees F, this nesting lady Eagle seemed to be Panting. I looked it up and found : Like dogs, birds can pant to cool down. When a bird pants, it breathes quickly, moving air across the moist surfaces of its lungs, throat, and mouth. This moisture then evaporates, which absorbs heat from the bird's body.
