This would have been a lot easier if I could have done this on vacation, which we ended up cancelling because of COVID, instead I had to set it up on my deck. Sometimes the fact that I collect a lot of different things comes in handy, the sand, shells and sand dollar are all from previous vacation to Ocracoke Is., North Carolina, the starfish was from Cape Cod,collected by my brother, and the shed crab exoskeleton is from Bar Harbor,Maine( I?m quite sure housekeeping was thrilled as I had it set up in the room trying to get it to dry in a realistic pose ). So I laid an old shower curtain liner on the deck, covered a section with sand, and added the skull, pouring more sand over it,and added the other items. Final image was then sharpened to bring out details, color and brightness adjusted, some bits of debris in the sand edited out,I darkened the shell a bit that sits in the eye socket.
