Beautiful Flowers Photography Contest Entry
Sometimes flowers are even more beautiful as they are dying. To me, this Purple Coneflower, which I grew from seed, and which has shed most of its pedals, is more spectacular than when it was in full bloom. The velvety texture of the "cone" and the tiny yellow flowers at its "crown" are even more interesting than when the flower was at its peak. Taken with a Canon EOS 60D, macro lens 70-135mm, no flash, no tripod.
