The animal dens in hollow logs, tree trunks and rock. Their upper back -grizzled, black strip down its back and tail. Male and females alike, but females are slightly smaller. White parts on ears, throat, chest. Belly and legs. American Gray Foxes measure 76 to 112,5 cm [29.9 to 44.3 in] total length, with a tail of 27.5 to 44.3 cm [10.8 to 17.4 in].
