The Gray Fox [Urocyon cinereoargenteus] is a canine species [dog family]. The animals are widespread through North America and Central America but dominated by the Red Fox. It is the only American Canin which can climb trees. Their habitats are rocky, wooded brushy regions and brush covered bluffs. They build ground burrows, used as birthing sites and for escape. The animal dens in hollow logs, tree trunks and rock. Their upper back -grizzled, black strip down its back and tail. Male and females alike, but females are slightly smaller. White parts on ears, throat, chest. Belly and legs. American Gray Foxes measure 76 to 112,5 cm [29.9 to 44.3 in] total length, with a tail of 27.5 to 44.3 cm [10.8 to 17.4 in]. They weight 3.6 to 7 kg [7.9 lb to 15.4 lb]. The hunt Rodents and eat fruit and vegetables. In contradiction to all other related species, the Gray Fox has oval pupils.
