I got this shot one morning while the mist was still rising from the lake, They are hard to get close to, but a telephoto lens helps. It is really interesting how big these folks are when compared to the nearby Canadian geese that are also feeding. The are called trumpeter swans for a reason.
When calling, they do sound an awfully like a trumpet!
