I was enthralled when I saw a child hear sound for the first time. I did see it on the internet by accident. It was the eyes that had the emotion. The rest of the child was immobile. I have tried to recreate that in this portrait. Sometimes I see a boy and other times it could be a girl. It seems to change when I move it around. When I complete a sketch I leave it in view for a week perhaps to enjoy or study to see if I should alter it. This is in graphite and when I photographed it .. It just didn't look as good as the actual real sketch so I played around on Photoshop with shadows and colour washes. This one is called Tungsten under the white balance layers.
