Outdoor sculpture Contest Entry
This is Olhao's (Portugal) bronze lady of local legend. Her name is Floripes, a Moorish Lady who wanders every night, sad and lost, a prisoner of enchantment she tries to seduce fishermen in order to break her fate.
The sculptor is a Portuguese National, Leonel Moira and it was revealed 16th June 2014 corresponding with the date of the popular revolt of Olhao against the French Napoleonic army in 1808.
