One of my girlfriends asked me to take a bunch of pictures of her and her dog that was dying of Cancer. She wanted something tropical looking, but a relaxed, informal portrait. She chose the dress, I chose the location, my front yard. We live in a sub-tropical climate so we really didn't have to go far. This is one of my favorite shots from the portfolio of pictures that I amassed that special day, which was not too long before her dog passed. Taken late in the afternoon, with my Canon EOS 60D and macro lens 70-135mm. Auto everything, no tripod, no flash.
