Something Old From The Past Contest Entry
On a trip to Rome, one had to see the Colosseum built for Roman extravaganzas.
Gladiator fights, animal fights, performances, etc. The Colosseum could hold 50,000 to 80,000 people. It was finished in 80 AD. I liked this angle that showed two outer hallways surrounding the center stage. Hard to get a photo without tourists in the background. Somehow that did not bother me as it was a real part of the visit.
