As mentioned earlier this bird indeed can mimic a cat. It will do this in order to frighten away other birds competing for the same food. Very shy, will fly at any movement or noise. This bird broke with convention and decided to be sociable and hang out with other birds. I used a barbeque grill cover over the camera and tripod and I used a camo poncho. I managed to get several shots of this guy. Since it was overcast I couldn't get a fast shutter speed but the bird cooperated and held still and no wind. I suppose I could have stopped down and shortened the focal length and hope that not to much of the bird goes out of focus - but I stuck with the plan and here is the result.
