Trip to Laratinga Wetland as the weather had cooled down. The Female Superb Fairy Wren was catching insects in the grass which had got longer after recent unseasonable January rain. Superb Fairy-wrens feed on insects and other small arthropods. These are caught mostly on the ground, but may also be taken from low bushes. Feeding takes place in small social groups.
