The Lotus Flower comes into bloom each summer on a pond in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, this year there seemed to be more leaves than flowers which is probably because of the unusual weather throughout the season. The flower is starting to open and yet to expose the yellow seedpod inside. The petals are a rich color, once open they will fade to a paler pink.
