Definitely bright eyed and bushy tailed! Looks rather well fed-lol!Adorable photo of this cute little red squirrel having a snack,obviously it's used to campers and the occasional handout;mine see me coming and they are gone,but I've been able to photograph them at the park in my hometown where they are used to people walking the path. This little guy is very well focused with good lighting resulting in natural colors ,beautiful catchlight in that clear eye. Beautiful texture in it's fur,especially the tail,and i can even see it's whiskers!

With your camera, in your hands, squirrels are adorable and in perfect focus. With the rest of us...it's a gamble! My experience is that these creatures seldom sit still, even when eating. So nice to see almost his entire body in this pose, and his eye looks bright and alert. He's compact and handsome!

What a bold little creature. Its pose is cute. The Squirrel seem to enjoy the sandwich. Your capture of detail is excellent. I enjoy the refinement of detail and realism of color. The refection in the dark eye is especial intriguing. The shallow background emphasizes the animal nicely. The photo is perfectly focused and exposed. The squirrel is expertly placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
