You do a great job with the birds Willie. These guys really seem to love your yard and you really get some fantastic captures with them. The details you are getting on these guys is spot on and the depth of field is just about perfect. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is a nice composition and the detail is perfect. Love the DOF! That bird is TACK Sharp! The seed in it's beak. really nice image. The tail is too close to the edge of the frame though. You'll have to tell it to pose better for you next time : )

Nice image!

Saw a shot in a songbird book I have right after looking at your shot. They were on par with each other. Do you do a lot of shots of birds? Are you published in any books or anything?
reply by the author on 17-Nov-2010
I shot them, because I can. Since the butterfly's have gone, I have moved my attention to birds. I wish I had any of my work published. I have been in to photography all my life, but just a hobby. Only now, starting last april, have I done any profesional work. I would love to provide photos to any book or magazine.

I think there is a book called the "Photographers Market" They usually publish one every year. I'm a Designer by trade so I use the Artist and Designers Market Book. Tons of places to submit work to in that book.

I have always been fascinated by bird photography but am not very good at it. You seem to excel. boy is this one sharp and well exposed. You took the background out of it nicely as well. Square format works well here.No criticisms, no helpful hints, sorry. Very nice

A very nice capture here of little Mr.. Jay. This must be a very young Blue Jay because of his small size. Nice lighting, color and super focus.
