The color is great on this Great Blue Heron. Nice use of the rule-of-thirds in your cropping and everything looks well focused. Great details and great initial impact. Great Shot!

I have the same camera but never!never get anything this great. This ia a perfect photo. A calendar-cover shot if I ever saw one. The wow fctor is the color of the bird. The background is perfect with the shadow and subtle colors showing through it and the green just behind the bird. All make up the wonder of the shot and the perfection. I hate my camera. I wish you ccould tell me how you got such a wonderful capture.

Great picture!
As a painter,I am impressed with colors of feathers and they challenge me to take a brush and try to paint these shades so soft and nice.

These colors are admiringly natural. The details of crisp. The eye is almost piercing the air. The DOF is perfect the background colors are an enhancement for the Heron who truly draws the eyes of the viewer. Best luck for the contest.
