This is a great shot with a clearly focused subject on top of its flower of interest. The buckeye butterfly behave's like a moth in that it rests with its wings open. Its quite beautiful and so is the shot.

That is a beautiful Butterfly I don't think I have ever seen a Buckeye before. This is an excellent photograph and is composed very nicely. You should do well in the contest. Good luck

An excellent capture of the butterfly. Love the light and colour along with tack sharp focus that gives beautiful detail on the wings. Was your camera on a tripod? I can't get that sharp focus when i use my 70-300 lens for closeups.Don't know what i'm doing wrong .great job

Thank you so very much for a good review and high score! This was hand held. I was shooting 2000/sec. A shutter speed that fast does not need to be on a tripod.

This is a beautiful close up shot of a butterfly. It looks like it is delicately balances on the flower. The colors look saturated, especially the orange color in the wings. The photograph looks nicely composed. There is good balance between the parts.

Really beautiful shot. Delicately captured, resting lightingly ontop of a pink flower head. The pale green background compliments the focus of the buckeye butterfly very well.
The colours are very special. Great initial impact.
