This is a wonderful shot Willie and i loved your notes. You might consider doing a little dodging in her eye to make the reflection you have captured more apparent. But I love the crop you chose and the wonderful clarity of the image.

Thank you so very much! How do you dodge?

Willie, you are just naturally talented, aren't you? Do you have Photoshop? If you do, there is a tool on the left in the shape sometimes as a hand but when you click and hold it becomes a dodge tool looking sort of like a microphone, make your brush round and the size of her eye on a duplicate copy and click it around her eye until the reflection will become apparent. If you don't have Photoshop, you should, you are too imaginative and creative not to have it. You can download it as a trial for 30 days from Adobe and everything you do to an image you can keep or post. It is not inexpensive but the trial is free and you can play with it and then think about it. Bren

Thank you! I have a very old version of photoshop and a new version of elements. I an sure that tool is on there I just need to find it, thanks!

I am fairly certain Elements may have the tool. How old is your version of Photoshop? Bren

I have it! I looked for it and found it! Now I just need to learn to use it!
reply by yourbren on 08-Sep-2011
Don't worry, make your brush round and reduce it's size until it just fits over the eye, then with very slight movement click in this area until you are satisfied. Bren

Thank you! This has been a help! You know how photoshop is. There is so much there and you just use a few tools! I think you need to go to school just to learn it!

Photoshop can be used well and easily but it can become quite intricate and i spent initially a year and a half simply studying, but it keeps evolving as i hope do i, so I still keep studying. I have professional photographer friends who shot for fashion magazines and they simply can't adjust to digital and Photoshop makes their eyes sort of glaze over. Bren

Very nice. Excellent initial impact, clarity, lighting, depth of field and composition. Would have given you a six but FAR would not let me since I have given you 5+ twice already in the past 30 days. Thanks for sharing.

You seems to be a very nice and warmhearted man who cares for the bird and other animal - your photo here is so sharp and clear - the sunflower seed looks very BIG? But that's the way they looks in you country? Just kidding - I like your photo very much and I hope you will post a good red Cardinal male-bird because i like them very much and unfortunately we don't have them here in Sweden!
