Very nice shot of the tiger swallowtail. I had one on my chive blooms yesterday that stayed there for at least four hours along with a spicebush swallowtail. And many bees and other bugs. Great catch of the wing span. Good focus and colors. The best of luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing.

The lighting and colors on this are very good. Good composition and use of space. The image looks well focused and shows good detail. Initial impact is also good.

Beautiful natural lighting that shows the wonderful detail.
The white in the flowers is captured nicely without overexposure they way sunlight tends to do to white flowers!
I love the gold & black against the green & white!

This is a beauty. Outstanding color, focus and lighting. Good idea to try from the car. That's IF I ever see butterflies this summer..LOL. If I do see some from the car, I am going to try your method and see what happens.

This is a great initial impact image. I like the clarity. They are a beautiful butterfly. Now I know why we don't have all these beautiful butterflies. We don't have any button bush flowers.
