Excellent photo - so very sharp and clear so one can see every little details here - the solid green background adds to the beauty and interest, thanks..

A really nice photo of the cardinal. The eyes are usually the most interesting aspect of man or animal. She certainly does seem to be enjoying the sunflower seed. I love being able to see so much detail in the feathers. Great shot.

Comments: Here is a cyber 5.5 coming your way. Great picture of the female. I am not normally a fan of tightly cropped or shot subjects. This one works because of the intense look the bird has. Also the sunflower seeds. Good focus. Nice eye shot. Thanks for sharing.

Willie, you are a true bird charmer. I can't get over how close you get with just a 300mm reach- and with such great focus. Lovely shot.

I love it!! Great colors and lighting. Fabulous focus and with the bit of food in its mouth, interesting. I agree about the side shot and capturing the eye(s). Wonderful capture of detail. Enjoyable.

I swear I reviewed this one once before.. but it says I didn't. You must have a twin photograph of this. I remember the seed in his mouth also. Great job.

Love it! Love it! Love it! The colors are spectacular and how the sun reflects off of the feathers makes them pop! I love how the close up makes ever feather visible and how she seems to be looking right into the camera. Beautiful!

Gee Willie you get any closer it will be a picture of his stomach from the inside. :) Very sharp shot - great lighting and focus.

Excellent work again, willie!
The lighting is phenomenal, creative expression is great, focus is clear and sharp, depth of focus is spot on!
What a story you could tell with this!
Great shot!
PS ... I just read somewhere that focusing on the eye is one of the most important things when shooting animals, birds, etc. ... it's kind of a 'duh...,' but for some reason I'd not thought it out clearly before then. Your photo is an excellent example of how to do it right.... thanks!
