Beautiful lighting & use of black and white. The subject appears to be looking up to the sky - this would be a great communion photo idea. Her eyes look gorgeous.

Its a nice shot-good artistic portrait-I like the eyes and the hair textures-the shadow shapes are interesting that frame the face-I would have liked her chin tipped down just a touch-this angle make a very hard strong jaw //too hard for the soft expression-good job

I like the unique dramatic lighting you've captured your subject with as well as the underside vantage of taking the shot. My eye's looking for a bit more of a tighter framing on the highly shadowed side of her face. The just faint lit definition of her hair draws my eye away from her eyes. I would have cropped it out. Nonetheless, lovely uplifting beauty and reflective draw.

Nice photo here however, the light coming real strong from one side caused this bad shadow on this pretty face. I hope you don't let this lady see this photo - if she does see it, you better be ready to run like hell away!

Nice job on this. I love the way the light falls upon her face. Very well composed and focused. Nice black and white.

I like the different angle! I also like the light/dark balance in this shot..a bit different, but I have always said you have a great eye for angles! Donkeyoatey

I like this in B & W. Beautiful lines in the womans face that create very nice shadows for the right side of frame. Well done , thanx for sharing it.

Single lamp portraits are never easy and usually result in a compromise. A reflector used to throw some light in to the dark area's would have balanced it a bit. I think an ISO of 3200 is a bit over the top even with modern digital camera's. This has left her skin rather rough on the shaded side. I don't find the taking angle very flattering;different yes but not flattering. The eyes are always the most important part of a portrait but here they are dominated by the nostrils. I would like to see your other shots from this session. MItch

I like this portrait a lot! Its well composed, just off centre and the angle of take is unusual but enjoyable. In fact with the lighting you have in it I would go so far to say that the angle is perfect. Your shot is sharp and well exposed. A very good portrait indeed, well done!
