Wonderful portrait photography. The red of the subject's lips tie the viewer's eye upward to the red turban. The stark blackness of the background provides exactly the right compliment to the subject.

The lighting here is what
made this stand out, great colors as well, I would have gone a bit darker with the bg just so you dont see the fuzziness of it, overall wonderful work here!

Love the colors of the scarf that really coincides with the color of your beautiful subject's lips. Great to the side framing of your subject with the isolating midnight black backdrop/surroundings. I just wish the focal integrity that is evident in the definition of the scarf was pulled down to include those beautiful eyes. they're a little soft so my eye goes back up to the scarf as the focal point of the portrait. Nonetheless, great relaxed, tranquil expression on your subject's face that exudes feminine beauty.

Very nice portrait. The black background makes the subject standout. I believe if the top of the photo was cropped down at least half of the space above her head it would make a better pic. Good job!

THis shot caught my eye. I love the wrap hiding most of her hair because it really focuses on the beauty of her eyes. The pose is very regal and I like the black background. When I opened up the photo bigger it looks like there is a little noise on here skin. Personal preference when shooting a really tight face shot, like the one you have here, I try to make the skin look really clean. You don't have to airbrush it to make it look fake, but her skin looks a little grainy. MAybe it was the upload, or changing of resolution. Nice work

I'm giving this a 5 because of the clarity and saturation of the shot. When I take a portrait shot, I'm constantly looking at it as if it were to be framed and what the balance would be if I shot that particular shot. I only mention this as while the thirds do apply, in my subjective opinion, the face needs to be place more to the left and the top could come down an inch to balance the photo. Please not that this is just an opinion and has nothing to do with your excellent artistic ability and the shot you have taken, it is just that I look at all reviews as if I'm reviewing it for sale. Thank you for sharing this with us and I look forward to viewing more of your art in the following year. Happy New Year.

Love this portrait. It just beckons you with its simplicity and design. Great exposure, the background makes the woman jump out at you. The red headdress is beautifully matched with her lipstick. For me the most important element are the lighting in the eyes. Simply beautiful!

There are some stunning entries in the "red" contest, and this is one of them! A beautiful portrait and I love the way the left side of her face and hat fades slightly in color but not in clarity! You've achieved such sparkle in the eyes, and of course, the red hat is a stand-out! Great capture and good luck in the contest.

This is a very nice portrait of the female. I like the angle in which you chose to show her at, the lighting looks great on her face. I might have cropped it a little differently but that is just my opinion. Good luck in the contest! Sherry
