What a stunning shot! I believe I reviewed your previous blue heron, with a bug in his mouth? I think you have out done yourself with this one...great angel and excellent clarity, again the green of the lake off sets all his colors perfectly...the yellow beak and the grey/blue feathers...very well done!

You have been quite productive showing 3 of your photos on the front page. This is another well taken photo of a Heron, and I have a feeling that a lot of your photos of this bird is taken at exactly the same spot. The reason is that I seem to recognize the stump of wood sitting in the water.

I like the way the bird is fluffing its feathers and that it is possible to see a drop of water falling down because of this. Your photo is pin sharp showing very fine details in the feathers and the eye is standing out well. I really like the green color of the water as a background. Your exposure is also spot on.

The placement of the bird within the frame works well together with the neat cropping. A nicely balanced image with excellent DOFF.

Thank you so very much! I have my camera set on sequintial fire. This is part of that. I shot about 50 shots from the time he went in after the fish until he flew away. I will save the better ones for a contest! Thanks again!
