dude, this one deserves 6 stars. I'd honestly award 10 if i could. pointillism on a large canvas is hard enough. on a small piece of paper though? it sounds extremely challenging. but you've pulled off a masterpiece here :)

Wonderful technique and style in creating this work! Very well done, and nicely composed in the frame. I like the pointillism, and have often admired the work of the masters. This is very good, and presents beautifully. A pleasure to view!

    pattigirl,

pleased you like my pointillism offering.

Every color seen in the drawing is a dot . I start with the lightest color dots first and then work into the darker colors. The depth of the colors is achieved by, laying one color against another color or over the color underneath it, in doing so I get a third and forth color both visually and in reality. I was inspired to perfect the technique by some of my favorite artists: like Georges Pierre Seurat, Paul Signac, Camille Pissarro and of course his son Lucien Pissarro.

This drawing is approximately 5â?? x 7â?? and took me between 12 to 14 hours to complete. I am offering it as a signed and numbered limited edition print.

Thank you for your time in looking ( going to my portfolio to do so) and then writing the review your continued support of me and my artwork is very much appreciated.

    Have great day... Cheers!!!

One of my favorite works is the park scene by Seurat. Your pointillism is really good, and thank you for the details on how you created this image. it has a real sweet feeling to it in the composition. sarah

I really like your artwork. May I ask, how long does it take to do this, looks very time consuming.
Good detail in the eyes of both, the horns.
Good color definition.
Very well done.

    I powers,

In a pointillism drawing the further away you get the more the colors combine to create a even more impressive image as the viewers eyes starts to blend the dots of colors. This 5 x 7 inch drawing took 12 hours to create.

All t he dots of color are applied by hand, and the technique comes out of the impressionist period. I was inspired to perfect the technique by some of my favorite artists: like Georges Pierre Seurat, Paul Signac, Camille Pissarro and of course his son Lucien Pissarro.

Thank you for having stopped and looked and then commented. Your support of me and my artwork is important to me & very much appreciated.

As with so many of my pieces besides the original, this one is being offered as limited edition print at a reasonable cost as well.
    Have a great day... Cheers!!!

p.s., I hope you will encourage others to stop by, look & leave me their thoughts.

I think the subject matter here is captured beautifully. The use of the dots is great and must have taken a long time to get right. I'm sure the member whose picture you used would be flattered and pleased!

This is a lovely dot art painting which must have taken a while to complete. The colors are nice and compliment each other well.

    CheriseFoster,

based on the rating you think this is less than average. I would like to understand why? Nothing in your critique explains the things you think need to be improved.
