    sohailanwar,

thank you for the high compliment, in saying it is perfect, I also liked the results I achieved as well.

    As you may already know:
Every color seen in the drawing is a dot. I start with the lightest color dots first and then work into the darker colors. The depth of the colors is achieved by, laying one color against another color or over the color underneath it, in doing so I get a third and forth color both visually and in reality. I was inspired to perfect the technique by some of my favorite artists: like Georges Pierre Seurat, Paul Signac, Camille Pissarro and of course his son Lucien Pissarro.

This drawing is approximately 4" x 9" and took me between 14 plus hours to complete. I am offering it as a signed and numbered limited edition print.

Thank you for your time in looking and writing the review your support of me and my artwork is very much appreciated.

    Have great day...cheers !!!

This is amazing the way you have done it. Your pointillism work is awesome the way you work the coloring in and the amount of detail you are able to get in the drawing. I like the way you have so many different views of the buffalo. I like the way you did the ground. Just an exceptional and beautiful work of art

I think this is one of your best, and I like the way you managed to create depth by making the animals in the background less defined. I would however have tried to avoid touching the frame, because they look a bit cut off at the top.

It is good distinctions between light and shadow, and I also think you managed to create the illusion of dust. The animals are given a life like posing, and I like the bit of action in this work.

The space is well used and it is a good balance between negative and positive space. It is a nice flow in the composition, and also a very good balance. I think this is a lovely drawing by the use of your very special technique.

    Annie,

let me start of my reply to your review by say: it is a very good and comprehensive review, succinct, concise and yet very informative.

The reason for the animal hitting the top of the frame within the composition is that I thought when matted and framed it would act as a stop and redirect the viewer back down to the two animals sparing.
Anyway that was my reasoning fro how I laid out the image.

Once again thank you for you continued support of me and my artwork it is truly appreciated. Have great weekend... cheers!!!

Thank you, Lucien, for sharing this well done painting with FAR. Love the colors you are able to create with sharpie pens and only dots of color. A very nice job.

Yes, Seurat and Pissarro, I'm familiar with. Don't believe they worked with markers though. But I understand your technique.

Yes, they used oils. I think I need to do one using paint, like I am thinking Acrylic and then maybe oil.
    thanks for the reply.

Like this a great deal. For some reason I feel these animals lend themselves to this kind of dot work. The two in the foreground having a fight are interesting as well as very well executed. Like those in the background too which give more interest and I also like the pale tones in the landscape. These are pretty but do not detract from the shapes of the Bison or their lovely rich colours.

the further you move from the image, like between 4 to 6 feet, the more it comes together.

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of the pointillism style of art. However I can appreciate the time and skill that must go in to creating a powerful image like this using dots of ink. You are very good at it indeed. The light and movement in this are captured.

Awesome pointillism drawing! You sure do have a lot of patience to pull off something like this. (Pointillism drives me crazy!) Nice colors and love the light/pastel colors in the ground/midground/background.

What a interesting form of art.. I'd never heard of it before..your creativity really works for this art piece. The scene is a great way of showing these big beasts..you have formed them well where all the details and coloring look natural. It's a great art and I'm glad that you shared it and now know about this form of art;)
