I came across this as I am going through all RECOGNIZED works. You won first place.....congrats....well deserved.
This abstract tells your story of your dreams....as does mine. I can relate to this art in my own way with my own dreams; with my own nightmares; with my own reality. It is filled with expression and torment and hatred and fear and love and isolation and abuse and hope and faith and death.
You created a phenomenal piece of art. It is very special indeed to a lot of us yet has different meaning to those same lot of us(es). Excellent work. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could give you six stars because you deserve all six, but unfortunately I only have 5 available to give.

Art is first created from within. We draw inspiration from our thoughts, and experiences from the five senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. I am touched by your kind words. I am happy that my art has touched a chord in you. I appreciate your wonderful words. Thank you.

This is an amazing rendition. This painting, truth different in style and media used, reminds me strongly of Picasso's Guernica. It has the same emotional impact. The viewer thinks immediately of the victims of bombings and the fire of automatic weapons. The nightmares some of us have experienced themselves and which we almost daily see in the newspapers and on TV are getting very real to us. The vivid colors intensify the impact.
This painting deserves indeed to win a contest! My review comes late, sorry, but after seeing it as contest winner I had to wait until I had the right amount of stars to honor this painting.

Outstanding work, and truly, heartfelt congratulations on your well deserved win. I am very happy for you. It so truly depicts the nightmares you are speaking of, and i have never had one such nightmare, and can only begin to image how terrible it must be. I am sorry for such terrible interference with sleep that you and so many experience. Oh how much better the world could be.

You surely are not alone! This is a very powerful image. I can only imagine what life is like in countries where these types of terrorism is a daily threat. The title certainly invites commentary and helps to open communications among viewers. Something very important in the world today. It is difficult in expressing fear in art accurately but I think you have nailed it. Your vibrant color choices and shapes convey fear very well. There is a real sense of urgency as well, as though the viewer should take flight immediately. The piece, to me, represents a strong energy and thus fearfulness. Your reds make me think of running blood and anger. I also feel a 'mask' like presence within the shapes, not far from the idea of hooded thugs. It is well deserved of the win. Congratulations for a well thought out rendering!

Congratulations on the win and what a wonderful piece here! I like your work without the PS enhancement so much! This shows a chaotic and uncertain world, the brush strokes are almost a stabbing and cutting motion, I can imagine this piece left you exhausted (my expressive ones often leave me tired!) Although there is a lot of movement and activity, you do give the eye places to rest! WOnderful! jean

Wow! I am so flattered to hear those wonderful words from a wonderful artist.Yes. this was a bit exhausting. I did't want to make it look very macabre. The horror will slowly sink in and especially if one keep seeing those things on TV and read about it splashed on the front pages of all news papers. Thank you for your fine review. I appreciate your observations and comments. I'm happy you like it.

The history behind this drawing and the vivid colors make for a very striking painting.

It must been hard for you to paint this. I see they different symbols of your country.

Thank you for sharing this and letting us know a little better what it is like in other places.

Outstanding expressive abstract watercolor! I feel the turmoil that your mind's eye has created. Excellent lines, shading, blending, and color choices. A very attention-getting piece. Bravo.
