The bird is indeed filling the frame, and perhaps almost too well. When you see a bird as close as this the photo has to be of a very good quality, and in this case I think the softness of the beak is a distraction since it is such a big part of the photo. I do however appreciate how well the eyes are captured and the sharpness and fine details of the feathers.

When it comes to the composition I think the eyes are too close to the frame, and especially on the left side where it is almost touching. It is of course an all together well taken shot, but in this case I think a few adjustments are in order. Still I wish you luck with the contest.

It is different and it catches the eye as well. It is the beak more than anything being a distraction.

Very cool. love the detals and of couurse the sharpness of the eyes. I wish the left eye was more in the frame. Great colors. Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.
