A nice looking shot that captures the spirit of the times quite well. The lighting of a cigarette was just taken for granted in those days when casualties on both sides were anticipated (though the winners of the battle probably had to wait a couple decades before their casualties started mounting.) A superb shot with very good details and a look we can all recognize. Best of luck in the contest.

Quite a typical WWII soldier shot posted here! Like your composition and angled portrait of this soldier with time to burn on his hands. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done!
