This is what I call a true macro shot, and I especially like how well you have captured all the fine textures in the butterfly. This is something we don't see with the naked eye. I also think the Zinnia blossom is lovely with the vibrant colors.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the butterfly, and the exposure is perfect.
The tight cropping works really well and I think the butterfly has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Willie, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

This one is sure up close and personal. Great focus produced excellent details. I note the body colors match the bloom. Love the eye. Interesting that it is only slightly lighter in the middle.
I am wondering which lens you used for this close up detail and excellent depth of field.

A beautiful macro profile of this Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. I like the way his proboscis is extended into the flower and the sharp detail in his eye. Great colors and nice cropping. Best of luck in the contest.
