Cleo, this is so realistic that I first thought it was just a touched up photo. The lighting effect is fantastic, on both the bee and the flower. The bee is exceptionally good, the colors, the shine, the 'fuzz', are all perfect. Excellent work!

I am always amazed how you paint those fine details of a tiny creature like this green ant - more then perfect in details - the flower is well placed in your space and picture is well framed - the soft background you have chosen fits perfectly giving you the perfect contrast and a harmonious general impression - well done

Well done painting of the fly on the flower head. Nice composition that has interest. Good details in the body and wings of the fly. Scale may be off slightly but that fits with the theme of the image. Good details and color in the flower. Good use of the medium. Well seen.

So let me give you a well-meaning tip. It is not fair to give low ratings when you dislike the subject of a painting or a photograph. Neither is it fair to rate high when you like the subject. Such reviews will not help anyone to improve his/her work. You also wont make friends with unfair rating. You risk to be muted by artists and photographers. You also risk that your own photography or artwork will be not reviewed.

i'm loving seeing all of the bees feed on my flowers right now and just at this moment my boy spotted a rare mimic hornet hover fly (that i got a photo of). your picture is both beautiful and brilliant in equal proportions. i did see, in a zoo a 'pepsis wasp' (very stingy) in a zoo with the exact shade of green. they are amazing to view and is the type that attacks the poor tarantula spider. it is incredible how you made this two-tone sheen on the body. the lilac bloom is also delightful.

Both the bee and the flower is done paying very good attention to even the smallest details, and your use of high lights is just excellent. Your brush work looks great as well.
The format and framing is perfect, and both the flower and the bee are well placed within the frame. It is a very good balance between positive and negative space. I think this is a beautiful and well done digital painting Cleo.
