This is a bit of a departure from your past work. The colors and the rustic illustration is simple but effective. The perceptive of the scene has balance and DOF. This would make a great jacket cover for a romance novel.

well thanks but you can send her over and ill do a closer inspection..evil grin..lol. the facial expression is excellent. the body form and language is excellent. the details is excellent. the shading is excellent. the blend of color is awesome. the depth is excellent. the creation is well balance and very eye appealing to the viewer. very very creative and awesome work overall(standing clapping and cheering) woooooooooohoooooooooooo!!

a nice palette used here with the medium you have chosen which i can imagine is fairly difficult with coloured pencil to create such a nice piece as your blending may well have proved slightly frustrating as this area appears to be lacking and the purple splurges in the sea appear too separate from the rest of the water and this upsets the rest of the presentation for me as the mermaid and the ship are just outstanding...its just the sea that is frustrating to the eye

This is cool. What i like the most is its genuiness and creativity. Never see mermaid in green as this one. The idea i am able to see is not about realistic presentation but expressive especially through coloring.
