I like how you have applied light and textures in this image. The grasses have an attractive sparkling shimmer and the bark is full of appealing texture and light. The color combinations are also lovely and your work on the bird and sky are very realistic looking.

Awww, this is such a sweet image. The cute little bird looks so perfect sitting there up on the little tree. I love the colors that you chose for the sky and how the sun shines down on the field. Amazing job with every detail, and thanks for sharing this with us :)

Fabulous. Besides the wonderful chickadee rendering what makes this piece so special is the environment surrounding the bird. The great perch branch with an artistic curve, the golden hues of the sun flecked field, and that beautiful puffy clouded sky. Immensely appealing and exactly the kind of painting we would hang in our home. Excellent.

This is such a lovely scene and a very fine example of digital art. From what I understand from the category, this is not a digital painting starting with a blank canvas, but it for sure looks like it, and all the elements are so tastefully put together,
The lovely cloudy sky and the yellow grasses is a lovely background for the Chickadee, and the bird is standing out so clear and well defined against it.
The composition is strong with the bird in the tree off to the right, and the birds in the sky work as a nice balance. The picture is also nicely framed. A truly lovely and well done digital creation, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you, Annie. It is actually a digital painting, but some of the grasses are not mine, so had to list it as composition. Was starting to have an anxiety attack trying to get the grasses filled in, so thought heck with it and just used some of my clipart grass, LOL I have to say though, some things are much easier traditionally. Again, thank you for the comments.

The texture created with the colour palette and shading make the image look hyperrealistic. There is a lot of spatial depth in this work. You seem like you have been pursuing digital art for a long time because you are very competent at what you do. Even the grass and sky have very nice details.

I don't know how you did this art, but the precision with the details is well done. Did you draw this manually or use any photographs? The shadows are well rendered, the clouds excellently painted, the bird sitting on the tree is perfectly balanced in its position. Great design elements all over with asymmetrical elements that come together very well.

A very well composed and produced computer generated piece of nature artwork, with fine attention paid to detail and superb accuracy throughout, with the lifelike corn/grass and it's subtly changing shades, through to the dead branch upon which this beautiful and well detailed Chickadee is positioned, looking quite content! great proportions on the body and the colours, with a great backdrop of a darkening blue sky and clouds looming in with the birds way up in the sky. A fantastic piece overall, best of luck in the competition! :)
