Meg, there is a fine line between knowing when to stop working post production and you seem to have the innate ability to STOP at the right time to give this reality and yet pushing the image over the top.

That DaVinci filter has been used exquisitely, simply because you knew when to stop...the edges in vignette DaVinci add class to this piece....your point of view is great and the composition is strong showing us your artistic bend.

Nice...I often learn from your posts and find your artistic touches inspirational...thank you.

A wonderful artistic photo of this train! Your use of filters has created a great antique look to this photo. Great perspective with the train entering the photo diagonally. Excellent light, sharpness, and details on the train.

Good for you! I have not seen many train images lately; I miss them. Nice depth, detail, lighting and perspective to achieve a scene that allows the subject to take center stage without surrounding distractions (so common in locomotive photography). Well done. Kathy

Vintage in colour. Great angle, light, and subject - simple but eye-catching. My only qualm, albeit only a small one, is that I wished that some of the edges were less fuzzy as I thought the whole image would've been brought together if not just only focusing on the carriages. Nonetheless, a unique piece.

I like the background treatment. When I first saw this post I thought the background resembled old dried and cracked paint.

Nice camera settings for this dark image.

The contrast is very subtle in this take.

Detail of the train is fine.

Nice contrast between the black of the train and the greenery.

Your work with the sky kind of makes it neutral in the contrast arena.

Very good visual impact.

Overall a very good take ... B-)) Bob

This is a very cool photo! I love your choice of shooting this vertically. Great job with the editing as well! The edits help give the photo an antique feel to it. Good overall clarity and perfect lighting!

A nicely composed shot from a fine perspective. I like the colors and the vertical framing. I am not such a fan of the texture, especially in the sky, and think the vignette is a bit on the strong side.

I really like the editing you have done with this photo Mary Eileen, and also the very good POV. It has created such great leading lines bringing the viewer into the composition.

Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the train. I also think the exposure is perfect.

The photo is nicely cropped and the train has a perfect position within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.
