Very nice work, I knew you had it in you to do great thing, well congratulate your hard work, because it's paying off with leaps and bounds. Excellent modulation of form through great mid tones, and black and white. The deep shadows works nicely to push the images of the figures into the foreground, white creating excellent depth. Again your individual style prevails excellent, telling us why you are the premier artist, thanks for sharing.

Wow, I love this one. All of it is so cool. A lot to look at. Your good with so many ideas in art. I do admire anyone who masters, painting, drawing and me, I use filters in software to paint and draw. Again, the details are supreme here. Perfectly done to me.

good tracing of the original pr poster for the 1955 film 'abbott and costello meet the mummy.' flipping the photo is a nice touch. you've captured their looks perfectly. ps: i'm a true believer in artistic freedom and not meaning to be critical; do check the spelling of 'abbot' if your typo is not intentional.

there are several ways to trace, especially an image that has been flipped and so precisely represents the original.
no offense intended. it's just that copying another artist's work questions reward. i suppose, though, integrity is in the mind of the beholder.

I do not trace and I do not appreciate the insinuation so don?t be jelois
reply by Anonymous Member on 12-Dec-2017
okay. you do not trace. my profuse apologies for the insinuation, jesuel. i was accusatory, perhaps because you are right. i am jealous. i am also a realist, like you, and simply must know how you are able to duplicate a photograph, in the opposite direction, so precisely with such exacting proportion and detail.
i hope that fanartreview is as it implies, a place for artists to exchange ideas and help one another to improve their talent. so far, my apparently, feeble attempts at constructive criticisms, have been met with outrage. how darn i imply that someone's work isn't brilliant. how dare i think such brilliance needs to be improved. how dare i question technique.
again, i am sorry for being judgemental of your work. it came out of a want to know. maybe someday, i will.
    best regards, albert

This is an interesting pastel work on cinemas most lovable pair of yesteryear. You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck!

You did! I used to love watching them on tv. This is a very expressive pastel and I love the strokes you used. You did very nice blending on the faces. You need to crop your name and re-post because this is a blind contest or the committee will disqualify you on the deadline date.
