What an exceptional shot of this morning glory, Barbara!! I love the rich light, your selective focus that delivers such soft complimentary blends in the background to offset your floral. Nice diagonal presentation and your backlit beauty of light filling this flower's cup up with warmth is striking.

The background is beautiful. And you are right about the light. It travels up from the base which is what first caught my eye. And then out the top. Unusual and really neat the way it comes out the top and radiates across the top of the bloom.
This is a simple clean crisp and interesting image and you have presented it very well. I really like this one.

It does look like it is lit from within.
Good cropping and dramatic background make this a really interesting and wonderful image.
This would be a good basis for a watercolor actually.
